Materials used for the Gingerbread House:
You can use any brand of cotton or any other yarn you want for this crochet pattern. If you use thicker or thinner yarn, your Gingerbread House will become slightly larger or smaller. As a result, it does not fit very well with the described reinforcement of the house. You then have to tailor these to size. Below is a summary of the materials I used for the crochet aid Gingerbread House.
- Cotton, any brand is good. I used Yarn and Colors Must Have in the colours Satay and Curry.
- Inside of the Cottage: Yarn and Colors Must Have 108 Curry, 33 grams
- Exterior of the Cottage: Yarn and Colors Must Have 026 Satay, 39 grams
- From the quantities you have left, you can very well make the 2 pastries.
- Yarn and Colors Must Have 001 White, 15 gram
- Crochet hook size 2.5
- Yarn and Colors Furry 001 White, 5 gram with crochet hook 4.5
- Scissors, needle, stuffing, textile glue.
The cottage is about 13 cm high.
