This boat was born out of a special challenge: can a computer make a better crochet pattern than a designer? While the technique struggled with impossible stitches, this pure, truly crochetable design was created on my crochet hook. The result is a compact and decorative boat that fits perfectly with the theme "Beach & Sea". Materials Used for the Boat
You can use any yarn you want for this crochet pattern. Below is a summary of the materials I used for this cute Boot.
Cotton yarn in the colours you think are suitable for a boat. It doesn't matter what brand of yarn you use. These are the colours I used:
- Black, hull and chimney, bumpers, used: 12 grams
- Dark blue, hull and windows, used: 18 grams
- Red, hull, wheelhouse roof, lifebuoy, used: 8 grams
- White, hull, wheelhouse, lifebuoy, used: 16 grams
- Light grey, windows, used: 2 grams
- Light brown, rope, used: 2 grams
- Blue, flag, used: 1 gram
- Crochet hook 2.5
- Scissors, needle, filling
- Sturdy cardboard or plastic
- Textile glue
- Cocktail pick
The boat will be about 15 x 10 cm.
