Merri Longbeard is proud of his long grey beard. All the men in his family have such a long beard. But not all of them, just like Merri, love nice things. You can use any yarn you want for this crochet pattern. If you use thicker or thinner yarn, Merri Longbeard will become slightly larger or smaller. You will then have to adjust the frame of his cart. Below is a summary of the materials I used for Merri Longbeard.
- Scheepjes Catona cotton, skin colour: 27gram
- Lammy Yarns Rio cotton, in the colours dark brown (20gram), green( 12gram), mustard (12gram).
- Little Fluffy acrylic yarn for the hair and beard (6gram)
- Thread red for the mouth
- Yarn and Colors Charming, Dark brown (31gram) and Light brown (13gram) for the cart
- Lammy Yarns Rio melange cotton greenish, for backpack (12gram)
- Safety eyes 8mm
- Crochet hook 2,5
- Fibrefill, scissors, needle, Binding wire for the hand and arms and to make glasses.
- Textile glue, 2 Satay sticks
- Box for the cart, dimensions: 10x6cm, height 2,5cm, Cardboard for the boots and wheels
Merri Longbeard will be 28cm tall.
