Joni loves to dance barefoot to music! She likes to visit music festivals! Her favourite critters are ladybugs. As you can see, they also love Joni and her sunflower hat.
This crochet pattern of a Hippie elf is inspired by the Flower Power era. Hence her wide-leg pants, bare feet, coloured sunglasses and her sunflower hat! She owes her first name to the singer Joni Mitchell.

You can use any yarn you want for this crochet pattern. If you use thicker or thinner yarn, Joni will become slightly larger or smaller. Below is a summary of the materials I used for Joni the Hippie Elf.
- Catona Scheepjes, skin colour 263: 52gram
- Cotton yarn in the colours: Dark brown : 8gram, Yellow: 14gram, Blue: 32gram, melange yellow/orange/red: 22gram, orange: 5gram
- Thin Beige cotton and crochet hook 1,5: less than 10gr
- Crochet hook 2,5
- Safety eyes 10mm
- For the hair I used a piece of fake hair (doll wig).
- Coloured plastic lid of a yogurt jar, coloured iron wire
- Cutters, Scissors, needle, fibrefill
- Possibly Electricity wire, iron wire or binding wire for a frame in the body.
Joni will be 31 cm tall.
