A Highly Diverse 2025: My Creative Highlights!

The Flying Start: Handwerkbeurs Houten

The year 2025 flew by so quickly! 2025 immediately got off to a flying start during the Handwerkbeurs (Craft Fair) in Houten in January. It was fantastic to spend four days at the Meet & Greet stand and meet so many of you. The energy, the conversations, and the inspiration I gained there immediately set the tone for an incredibly creative year!

Pattern Parade: The 2025 Designs

After such an inspiring start, the crochet hook couldn't stay still! This year was all about diversity. Here is the complete list of everything released in 2025:

Steampunk Cushion Covers

Steampunk remains a genre that really appeals to me. The Corner 2 Corner crochet of the cushion covers with the Beach and Sea theme was so good that I also designed 2 Steampunk Cushion Covers. One cushion cover for Franklin with his Pocket Watch on it and one cushion cover for Victoria with keys and a lock on it.

Mermaid Mera

Besides the fact that I really like the Steampunk genre, the Beach and Sea theme always attracts me! There was still a Mermaid missing from my collection of Beach and Sea creations. The pattern of Mermaid Mera was published in March, plenty of time to be able to crochet this lady before summer comes! I wanted to take pictures of Mera on the beach and it was so cold!! Fortunately, you don't see that in the photos and you don't hear anything else, otherwise you could have seen me shivering and hearing chattering teeth!

Flower hanger & Small flower hanger

To celebrate spring and to be able to hang something beautiful on the terrace during the summer, I designed these flower pendants. You can crochet them in your favorite colors and hang a large or small bell in the calyx! With every breath of wind, you will hear your flowers ring!

Crochet Along Time: Buster the Bear in his Drum

This year, Buster the Bear jumped out of his drum to become the Crochet Along of 2025!! It has become a real craft and crochet project again. In order to be able to hook Buster's drum, a small can of Pringles had to be eaten first! Not bad at all!!

Of course Buster the Bear in his drum is for sale as a separate pattern!

Wind Chime Sea Breeze

Another lovely crochet pattern with the Beach and Sea theme. Crochet a fishing net into a ring, decorate with shells, fish and starfish and hang a few wind chime sticks underneath! Hang the wind chimes outside and with every gust of wind you can hear your Sea breeze sound!

Key to my heart

I designed this pattern especially for Franklin and Victoria! Victoria can give Franklin the key to her heart! But it's also a super nice Valentine's Day gift!

You can also find this pattern in the Steampunk Love Bundle!

Fruit Candies & Cherry on the Cake

These 2 small patterns are specially designed for the Culinary Creation Bundle, where you will also find Chef Antoine and all his baking products. Now he can also enjoy sweets and put a cherry on the cake!

Halloween by Candlelight

Two funny creepy candles that, together with a large spider web and large spiders, give your Halloween some extra atmosphere! With an LED light in their heads, the candles can really burn!

Halloween Walkers

Last year, some Walkers already saw the light of day and walked around happily. This year, the walking amigurumi figures have been expanded with a Halloween variant: a walking Ghost, a witch hat and a black cat!

Ice skater Hein

A skater had been on my list to design for a while. Something else always came in between. But during my holiday to Luxembourg in September, I sat down and designed Hein. Hein is named after Hein Vergeer, a Dutch ice skater. Hein Vergeer became world champion all-round speed skating twice in the 80s.

Together we celebrate Christmas (Samen vieren we Kerst)

Sandra from Applicatie en zo had a great idea, to make an amigurumi crochet magazine with the theme Christmas together with several designers. It was an honor to be able to participate in this fun project. The result is a beautiful glossy magazine with 9 patterns from 8 designers.

My contribution to the Christmas magazine is Christmas dog Nick, a tracking dog in training. Nick likes to help find things, he has already found a Santa hat while he was looking for the Christmas lights!

If you order the Christmas magazine Samen vieren we kerst with me, you will receive the pattern of the cute Christmas bell for free. The Christmas bell is now also for sale separately on the website.

This Amigurumi Magazine is only available in Dutch

Extra surprise!

On my website you will find 8 categories with patterns. For each category I have designed a small matching pattern. The link to these small patterns can be found in the single patterns of €5,95 and higher.

New Products and Collections

Not only were new patterns added, the tools and accessories were also expanded!

This year I introduced the brand new Amigurumi Sticks for a perfect, straight looking creation! You pin your head to the body with the amigurumi sticks. This makes sewing a lot easier.

In addition, a number of different stitch markers were added, made of polymer clay, such as the Crochet Hook Thickness Markers (chocolate wafers) and the Sinterklaas Candy Stitch Markers. These Saint Nicholas Markers were very popular. I will take that into account for next year!

The tools you use can also be stylish and fun!

Amigurumi Sticks and Stitch Markers are send to the Netherlands and Belgium and can be found on my Dutch website. https://www.cbscreations.nl

Your crochet questions inspired us to delve deeper into the techniques. This year, we learned the basics and the advanced tricks to elevate your work:

A very diverse year!

Looking back, this was really a very diverse year! From Cushion Covers to Skater Hein and from Stitch Markers to Amigurumi Sticks!

My lost crojo from last year is no longer noticeable!

Of course I am already working on fun things for next year. The very first event is already in the agenda: The Knitting and Crochet Days in Breda (the Netherlands) on 6 and 7 February 2026!

I hope to see you there!
